Trailer Double - The Battle Of The Snow White Films

Why does Hollywood have a habit of releasing two films centring on a similar topic at more or less the same time? We had the famous clash of end of the world movies 'Armageddon' and 'Deep Impact' in 1998 as well as insect tales 'Bug's Life' and 'Antz' the same year, magician flicks 'The Prestige' and 'The Illusionist' fought it out in 2006 and there were even two volcano movies in 1997 with 'Dante's Peak' and 'Volcano'. I don't know why studios decide to fight against each other like this but it seems Universal and Relativity Media are going head to head with there Snow White movies; 'Snow White And The Huntsman' and 'Mirror Mirror' respectively. They are even going as far as releasing trailers for each a couple days apart; check them out.

Bastion - The Kid Just Rages For Awhile

Developer: Supergiant Games
Publisher: Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment
Platform: XBLA
Eu Release: July 20th, 2011

Bastion is a title that just spoke volumes and volumes to me right off the bat. Released as a part of Xbox’s summer of arcade promotion, its core foundation can be found in the graphic style, and from this, it then branches off quite well into other aspects to create a gaming experience that is fully rounded, and had me delving further into the calamity. We are taken along for a ride by the velvety rough voice of the narrator, as we are given some background on the calamity. Expect to hear his voice throughout, as he becomes a guide, an ally and a friend.
The player takes on the role of The Kid, the silent but innocently deadly protagonist of the title. As The kid, you awaken after the calamity, ‘stranded on a rock in the sky’,

'Safe House' Trailer - Denzel Does His Bad Guy Thing

Denzel Washington is usually at his best when he plays a charismatic villain or an anti hero like Alonso in 'Training Day' or Frank Lucas in Ridley Scott's 'American Gangster'.  So with the release a trailer for new action thriller 'Safe House' it's good to see Denzel playing a bad guy again. He plays a rogue CIA agent who is kept in a safe house under the watch of rookie agent Ryan Reynolds, until some men come looking for Denzel. See it for yourself below.

Harvest Moon 2 GBC - Get Yo' Farm On!

Developer: Pack-In-Video
Publisher: Nataume Co
Platform: Game Boy Colour
Eu Release: March 30, 2001

Harvest Moon 2 GBC, released back in 2001, encompassed the early years of my video game playing days, along with the staple at the time, that being the ever prominent Pokémon series. Harvest Moon summarised the essence of childhood, innocence, in the form of a bold and colourful world where as the lead character you are taken along the seasons, the years, where you cultivate your own farmland and build relationships with the towns-folk along the way.

Bond 23 Title Confirmed As 'Skyfall' With Javier Bardem As Villain

The long awaited Bond sequel has finally got a title and its quite a good one - 'Skyfall'. I don't know what it is about that word but it just screams classic Bond to me like 'Goldfinger', 'Thunderball' and errmm 'Moonraker'. It is certainly better than 'Quantum Of Solace', which sounded like strange French art-house film that people with berets would enjoy. Daniel Craig is of course set to return as 007 with head honcho Dame Judi Dench reprising the role of M, the best news to emerge from this film however was the confirmation of Javier Bardem as the film's villain. If that isn't dream casting I don't know what is, Bardem is superb in any role but as a villain he is mindblowing, No Country For Old Men being the only evidence needed.
