Boardwalk Empire Season 2 Teaser - Nucky Is In Trouble

The hit HBO show 'Boardwalk Empire' is set prohibition era Atlantic City follows Nucky Thompson (Steve Buscemi) who unofficially runs the city and the the benefits and troubles of his powerful position . Season 2 comes round next month and HBO have released a teaser showing what might be in store for Nucky in the coming episodes with his competitors beginning to surround him.

'Boardwalk Empire' in my opinion wasn't quite the masterpiece many proclaimed it to be. Season 1 certainly had its moments and some truly fascinating characters but I never fell in love with it like I did with 'Deadwood', 'Mad Men' or 'Breaking Bad'. It did just enough to keep me watching but at time it was horribly slow and there seemed to be very little conflict, that is until the final few episodes which raised the tension and were absolutely brilliant. But with Martin Scorsese and 'Sopranos' writer Terence Winter involved again season 2 promises to be much more interesting with the trailer perhaps being a premonition of things to come.

Hopefully there will be more time dedicated to Jimmy Darmody (Michael Pitt) and Al Capone (Stephen Graham) who were the more intriguing characters because as much as liked Steve Buscemi's performance as Nucky he didn't really have many problems outside of widow Margaret Schroeder (Kelly MacDonald). More Michael K.Williams would also be appreciated as he was Omar from 'The Wire' and that's just awesome.

'Boardwalk Empire' returns September 25th in US and sometime October for the UK. Anyone not watching needs to start because this season promises to be good.
