Adam Sandler's New 'Comedy' Film Gets A Trailer

'Jack and Jill'......hmmmm. Surely this is a harmless fairytale adpatation not a movie in which a failing comedian cross dresses, a white man has an indian child and a film icon plays himself losing all respect anyone could ever have for him in the process.

Dear oh dear oh dear. Adam Sandler you have somehow managed to sink even lower. How did this happen? After you poked fun at your gimmicky comedies of the past in 'Funny People' you return to the same kind of crap and bring AL PACINO with you! To be fair though, Sandler is using the cross dressing trick that worked a treat for Eddie Murphy in the critically acclaimed 'Norbit' that was so good that it cost Murphy an Academy Award (Poor Eddie).

It appears Sandler is making no attempt to change the kind of films he brings to the public after helping create the Kevin James film 'Zookeeper', which belongs in the pits of hell with 'Batman and Robin'. Sandler has own production company Happy Madison, which releases nothing but mind numbingly terrible films that until now I didn't really mind, but 'Jack and Jill' has gone a little bit too far.

The choice of title for one is a shameful use of the nursery rhyme 'Jack and Jill' that is used for the sole purpose of it being a title people recognise. The film could have been called 'Humpty Dumpty' with Sandler's characters names being Humpty and Dumpty it is essentially the same thing and perhaps better suited judging by the trailer. Unless of course in the final act Sandler tumbles down a hill and caves his head in, then 'Jack and Jill' is a decent title.

If Sandler degrading himself yet again isn't bad enough we now have to see Al Pacino attempt to woo 'Jill' with his phone number written in ketchup on a GOD DAMN HOTDOG. NO! This will not stand. How could Sandler allow Pacino to do this. I know he took the money and the role and is entirely to blame but didn't someone on set think "Wait a minute that is film icon and legend Al Pacino doing the 'call me' sign to Adam Sandler in drag.....STOP THIS MADNESS". How could they? It saddens me just as much seeing Ben Stiller stick a needle in Robert De Niro's penis in 'Little Fockers' *shudder*.

There also seems to be very little plot to speak of, which seems ridiculous when talking about an Adam Sandler film but there seems to be literally one plot point - Jack's twin sister Jill comes round to stay who he doesn't like very much and she won't leave. And that is basically it. Why this is made into a feature length film rather than a crap SNL skit is beyond me but apararently the world has to see this movie.

Then finally there is something slightly perplexing about the trailer....is Jack's son from India? I mean it's not mentioned in the trailer if he's adopted or from another relationship and Adam Sandler and his wife (Katie Holmes) are certainly not Asian so it seems extremely bizarre. Hopefully they haven't brought this poor kid in just to do race jokes but with this being Happy Madison Productions I can hardly put it past them. So let's hope the public have grown weary of Sandler by the time 'Jack And Jill' invades American cinemas in November this year.
